On Sunday, 16 February, Maverick McNealy missed out of winning the Genesis 2025, finishing a stroke behind Ludvig Aberg. This was his third top -10 finish of the season.

McNealy entered the last round of origin under the leadership of 2025 five strokes. However, he made a bang for the day, fired five straight birds 2–6 on holes and closed the front nine with 30.

He picked up three more Burdies in the next four holes before making a bogie on 14th. However, he was unable to add another bedi on the remaining holes, eventually finished at 11-underworks to secure a runner-up finish.

During the post-round interview of Genesis Invitational 2025, Maveral Mackeli said the ball was coming out of the club the way she wanted, and she found it quite fun.
