Peshawar:
Security forces killed 19 Khawarij during operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while 3 soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred during the exchange of fire.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), 19 Khawarij were killed in three separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on January 6 and 7.
It was said in the statement that an operation was conducted by the security forces in Matni area of Peshawar district on the secret information about the presence of Khawarij and during this time the security forces effectively targeted the hideout of Khawarij.
According to ISPR, 8 Khawarij were sent to hell in this operation.
In Baizai urban area of Mohmand district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces also conducted another operation based on secret information and exchanged fire with terrorists.

ISPR said that in the third operation in Kirk district, security forces effectively targeted the position of Khawarij and 3 Khawarij were martyred as a result of firing.
According to the statement, three brave sons, 38-year-old Lance Havaldar Abbas Ali from Ghazar district of Gilgit-Baltistan, 37-year-old Naik Muhammad Nazir from Skardu district, 37-year-old Naik Muhammad Usman from Attock district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, were killed during the exchange of fire. He died fighting bravely.
Actions are being taken to eliminate any outliers found in the area, ISPR said.
