Islamabad: More than 300 lawyers across the country have written an open letter to the judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts, requesting them not to be part of any new court.
The letter writers include senior lawyers Munir Ahmed Kakar, Abid Saqi, Rasht Ali Azad, Abid Hasan Manto, Bilal Hasan Manto and Salahuddin. It was said that the status of the new court will be the same as the PCO Court, the judges will not be different from the PCO judges.
The draft of the proposed amendments came out in the dark of night, the elected representatives who filled the numbers were not even aware of the draft, the amendments do not have their support, it has not been effectively debated in the country, it is only being said that the Charter of Constitutional Court is mentioned in Democracy.

In an interview, he said that the draft regarding the 26th constitutional amendment will be submitted to the Parliament for approval in the first week of October and under the current law of the country, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah will be the new Chief Justice as he is the senior of the Supreme Court.
