Karachi: Five suspects of the White Corolla gang, who robbed people leaving the bank and stole vehicles, were arrested in Shahr Quaid.
Malir District Police and Waqfi Sensitive Organization conducted a joint operation and arrested 5 suspects of the White Corolla gang involved in carjacking of citizens leaving the bank with cash and cars in Karachi, especially in Malir district, and recovered a Kalashnikov, 4 thirty-bore pistols and 2 motorcycles from their possession.
DIG East Ghulam Azfar Mahesar said in a press conference yesterday along with SSP Malir Kashif Abbasi in his office that District Malir Police and Waqfi Sensitive Organization conducted a joint operation to arrest 5 accused Uzirul Wahdi Bakhsh Jalbani alias Fuji Jalbani, Aftab Ali Chhajrul Andal Khan, Ghulam Qadirul Muhammad. Murad Busan, Nader son of Hahib Khan and Khadim Hussain son of Allah and Rayo were arrested and one Kalashnikov, 4 thirty bore pistols and 2 motorcycles were recovered from their possession.

He further said that for the past few months in Malir district, a group riding 2 white Corollas and 2 motorcycles was very active and involved in incidents.
DIG East said that the arrested gang had tried to extort two and a half crores from the foreigners on July 2 in Bin Qasim police station and had snatched the weapons of their security guard and escaped by firing indiscriminately at the foreigners’ car. On July 7, the accused escaped from the limits of Steel Town police station after stealing two and a half lakh rupees and his car from a businessman.
He said that on July 4, the group was present in a white Corolla car and motorcycles with the intention of committing an incident in Gulshan Hadid Bank area within the limits of Steel Town police station and on the identification of a citizen, the police chased them, then they attacked the police in Gulshan Hadid with modern weapons. opened fire, which damaged a rickshaw and while firing, the accused shot at a white Alto vehicle on the National Highway, killing a woman passer-by and injuring a girl.

DIG East said that the arrested accused Uzair Jalbani was involved in the double murder of a husband and wife in the limits of Shahrah Faisal police station and the father of the arrested accused, Fuji Jalbani, was also involved in the martyrdom of sub-inspector Rahim Shah. He said that among the other accomplices of the arrested accused are Sajid Chandio alias Cheema, Sajid Jatoi, Kamran, Saddam Shar, Didar Jagirani, Imran alias Gader Kalmati, Habdar Chandio, Mehboob Chandiwa and Qari.
He said that the arrested accused are also involved in more than 10 incidents. The arrested accused used to hide in Balochistan, Kashmir and Kutch area after committing the incidents. Cases have been registered against the accused and investigation has been started.
