50 Cent Praises are coming from Shreveport’s police chief for putting on this epic comedy and music festival that was crime-free… especially considering the backdrop of the city.
50 hosted Dave Chappelle, Katt Williams, Andrew Schulz, Matt Rife, Bill Bellamy and other comedians took part in the 4-day “Humor and Harmony” event, which began last Thursday. DaBaby, Master P, a boogie, Moneybagg Yo, Muni Long And he himself, among many others, turned 50.
Shreveport has a history of crime problems, so police were prepared for any eventuality as the festival drew a large crowd. In the end, there wasn’t a single problem, and officers were grateful to the 50 people who helped provide security.
Shreveport Police Chief wayne smith tells TMZ that the 50-year-old and his team played a key role in keeping the event safe with good planning, resources and great execution. The Chief added, “I haven’t seen this much positive activity in the city since the late ’80s!”
After the festivities were over, the Chief called 50 to express his gratitude.
The event, which included a celebrity basketball game, a car show, a G-Zone that resembled the Vegas Sphere, was all for charity. 100% of the proceeds went to the G-Unity Foundation.
