Pakistani actor Haroon Shahid also lashed out at the artists running a praise campaign for Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
For the past few days, a publicity campaign has been going on for Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz on social media, in which her work so far is being appreciated.
Social media influencers and well-known Pakistani actresses including Urwa Hussain, Sanam Saeed, Saboor Ali and singer Aima Baig also participated in the campaign.
All these artistes made videos in support of Maryam Nawaz after getting paid and then posted those videos on their official Instagram handle but all of them closed the comment section of the video to avoid criticism from social media users because of rising inflation, heavy taxes. And people are very angry with the current government because of electricity bills.

In such a situation, running a praise campaign for the government on behalf of Pakistani artists is unbearable for social media users.
While consumers have criticized this campaign, there are also some actors from the Pakistani showbiz industry who have criticized the artists who are part of the campaign.
Haroon Shahid said in his post on social networking website X (formerly Twitter) that if these artists are given a little more money, they will also open their comments section.
Expressing his anger, the actor said that this is not a political issue, but here we should think keeping in mind ethics and principles.
