The canal opens just 100 meters from the municipality on Garh Road in Hapur. Cleaning work is being done here by the municipality. Due to heavy rain on Friday, the Garh Road was flooded. Here, a young man was passing by the road, but due to the water in it, he did not see the open drain in front of him and he fell into the drain along with his motorcycle.

After this accident, people attacked the Municipal Council. People accused the officials of negligence in the work, saying that the drain should have been closed or barricaded after the cleaning work was done. Manoj Singh, Executive Officer of the Municipal Council, said that the cleaning work was going on in the drain when there was heavy rain and this incident took place. After cleaning the drain, it will be closed.
