A local man who tried to rape a young girl playing in the street in Lahore was arrested.
According to Safe Cities spokesperson, virtual women police station from Bhatigate received a call of rape of a minor girl. The 13-year-old girl was playing outside the house when the accused dragged her to his house. When the family members did not find the girl in the street and started searching, they heard the girl’s screams coming from a house. The family called 15 and asked for police help.
The police registered a case and detained the accused. Further legal proceedings are underway. Parents are requested not to send young girls out of the house alone. In case of emergency contact Virtual Women Police Station by dialing 15 and pressing 2.
