Karachi:

In both the foreign exchange markets, the dollar is once again showing an upward trend.

During the Finance Minister’s visit to the US, the positive results of the meetings with the IMF, World Bank and IITFC officials were revealed, and the International Islamic Trade and Finance Corporation provided commodity financing of 3 billion dollars and a financial facility of 26.9 million rupees. Despite positive news like India, the dollar started to rise again in both the foreign exchange markets.

Due to the positive sentiments and the news of possible investment in the refinery sector from Saudi Arabia, the dollar continued to depreciate throughout the trading period in the interbank market, due to which the value of the dollar decreased by 05 paisa to the level of 277 rupees 67 paisa. As supply improved, market demand increased.

As a result, the interbank rate of dollar closed at the level of 277 rupees 84 paise at the end of the business, while the value of the dollar also closed at the level of 278 rupees 79 paise with an increase of 12 paise.
