“It’s strange, [my favorite snack is] Fruit,” dancing with the stars The host, 53, exclusively revealed in the latest issue us weekly“I will eat fruits as often as possible. Like we have grapes in our house all the time.”
While fruit is great to eat, Ribeiro prefers to eat something hearty as his main meal.
“I’m a grass-fed, pretty rib-eyed guy,” he says of his favorite meals. “So I’m sure a steak dinner would be my No. 1.”
Ribeiro says his wife, Angela UnkrichUsually prepares steak for her special birthday meal. However, on the couple’s first date, Ribeiro did not opt for a traditional steak dinner. Instead, the couple enjoyed a night out at a prestigious Chinese eatery in Los Angeles.
He recalls, “My first date with Angela, we went to a restaurant called Mister Chow’s.” “I ordered the chicken satay… Mr. Chow’s noodles, squab with lettuce, Beijing chicken and his spicy beef.”
While Ribeiro enjoyed the chicken that evening, he says it was not one of his favorite menu items growing up.
“Chicken as a child, [I] Didn’t like it…obviously, [I] Eat it now,” he tells We“It’s no problem now, but it would be one of those things, like as a kid, my mom and dad would say, ‘You’re not to eat chicken.'”
Ribeiro confessed that he started eating chicken after not eating it for a certain period of time. So when he decided to try it again, he got a more pleasant response.
“Somebody put a cool thing in front of me, and it was like, ‘Oh, this is cool,’” he reflects. “I think as a child, your taste buds, your palate changes [is] Different every seven years, and mine just changed, and I was good at it.
Besides chicken and steak, Ribeiro’s favorite comfort food is a good old burger.
“I’m just trying to stay healthy right now. So there’s not a lot of comfort food in the game,” he explains. We“But, I love my burgers. [However]there is not much [those] In my life right now.”
When it’s time to start the cookout, Ribeiro’s “top three” side dishes to pair with hot dogs and burgers are fruit salad, deviled eggs and baked macaroni and cheese – especially like Bob Evans’.
“You can do whatever you want with it,” he said of the mac and cheese brand. “You can put bacon in it, you can put whatever you want in it. This makes it a great base for all your mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes and things like that.
