The Calgary Police Service is investigating after a man was found with serious injuries inside a southwest Calgary home late Friday night.
First responders were called to the corner of 39th St. SW and 15th Ave. Before 4:30 pm. They found a man with “multiple injuries,” according to police.
EMS transported him to Foothills Hospital, where he was undergoing surgery Friday night.
Just over an hour after the incident, the quiet street had returned to its normal appearance – save for flashing police lights and caution tape.

The only thing out of the ordinary was laying out a pink backpack on the sidewalk in front of the house.
“It’s been great so far,” said a neighbor who spoke to Global News but did not want to be identified.
He just moved home across the street three weeks ago.
“Super quiet street, right by a school where parents pick up their kids. It feels like a family-oriented street. ,
In his brief time in the neighborhood, he says it’s the first time he’s seen any kind of phenomenon — but he adds that an abandoned house, adjacent to the scene of the attack — is often littered with shopping carts and trash around it. Can be seen together.
Calgary police told Global News the victim was in surgery Friday night, and investigators have not yet been able to speak to him.
Police suggest the attack was targeted.
No arrests have been made.
