The Vancouver city is testing a new-way traffic plan to cut vehicle conflicts regularly with tourists and pedestrians.
The one-way pilot will affect the place of Canada between the hove and the roads from mid-April to December.
The move comes beyond the season of a busy summer cruise ship, which sees hundreds of ships to disget more than 1.2 million passengers every year.
The city believes that the implementation of one-way traffic will reduce the number of pedestrian-vehicle conflict points, promotes security for people coming and going from the cruise terminal, and will speed up buses, taxis and vehicle traffic in the area.

Under the scheme, vehicles will need to enter the zone from the Howe Street and get out through the birds or thurlo roads.
Signage will be installed in the area to inform the drivers of change.
The city says that if the pilot is a success, the new one-way zone can be permanent.
