Islamabad:
In the federal capital Islamabad, it has been decided to launch a number of new development projects to facilitate the people.
An important meeting was held at the CDA chaired by Federal Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in which new projects were formally approved. The meeting also decided to re -model Faizabad Interchange to solve the long -standing traffic problems. Two new lenses will also be added by expanding the Faizabad interchange.
The meeting has decided to construct a 2+2 lane underpass to improve traffic flow at Faisal Chowk. Mohsin Naqvi directed that the underpass should be planned in view of the future needs. Similarly, it has been decided to activate the completed parking plaza in the Blue Area soon.
The Federal Home Minister directed to develop a modern and profitable business model for the parking plaza and Food Street. In other parts of the city, construction of parking plazas was also approved while the places were directed to identify soon.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Home Talal Chaudhry, Home Secretary Khurram Agha, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, IG Police and other senior officials. During the meeting briefing, it was reported that specific places for pedestrian tracks, food stalls, seating benches and recreational activities have been set at the Blue Area Food Street.
Blue Area Parking Plaza will also provide commercial shops, roof top restaurants, playland, cinema and other facilities.
