Congress Baghpat District President Younis Chaudhary has been removed from the post after a video of him performing lewd acts in front of a girl went viral. However, Chaudhary has claimed that the video was edited and viral by his opponents as part of a political conspiracy against him.
The video allegedly shows Chowdhury misbehaving with a woman. Baghpat SP Arpat Vijayvargiya said that no formal complaint has been received so far in connection with the incident. He said that if any complaint is filed, appropriate legal action will be taken as per law.
Congress took action against Younis Chaudhary.
Speaking to news agency PTI, Congress state spokesperson Abhimanyu Tyagi said that Younis Chaudhary has been removed from his post. “I spoke to state president Ajay Rai, who confirmed that Younis Chaudhary has been removed from the post of district president of Baghpat,” he said. Tyagi said the video surfaced on Friday, prompting the party leadership to take immediate action.
Younis Chaudhry denied the allegations.
The news agency says that Yunus Chaudhry was contacted in this regard, but he could not be contacted because he did not answer the call on his mobile phone. However, in a statement on social media, Chaudhary claimed that the video was part of a political conspiracy by his opponents.
