New Delhi: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday mentioned in the Legislative Assembly that cricketer Mohammed Shami also took a sacred dip. Maha Kumbh,
Rejecting the report of discrimination with devotees in Maha Kumbh, Adityanath said: “There is no basis for discrimination in Maha Kumbh. Cricketer Mohammed Shami also took a sacred dip.”

While there is no confirmation that if Shami has really visited Khumb and has taken a holy dip, Akhilesh Yadav used Adityanath’s comments to target UP CM: “Is the cricketer’s name changed. Is?”

Akhilesh’s response since coming to power in 2017 was a swipe in Adityanath to change the names of Several Old Mughal and British era cities and stations.
Since becoming the Chief Minister in 2017, Yogi has implemented a series of names for various roads, parks, buildings and sites in Uttar Pradesh. Many of these names are in honor of major data, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is a prominent recipient. The Aligarh municipal body made a proposal for the naming of the city, and Firozabad was proposed to change the name of Chandra Nagar, Toi had earlier told.
In fact, Adityanath has also suggested that Azamgarh’s name – Akhilesh Yadav’s parliamentary constituency, should be converted into Aryangar.
Akhilesh made Mamta, Yogi Hits Back
Earlier today, Akhilesh supported West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s ‘Mrithu Kumbh’ comment, which was criticized by the government for Maha Kumbh. Mamta Banerjee had criticized the organizers of Kumbh for the earlier inadequate scheme, due to which Prayagraj and New Delhi were stamped at railway stations. He said that there is inequality between the system of rich and the poor, claiming that VIPs can secure tents up to Rs 1 lakh, while the poor had no such provision.
In response, CM Yogi Adityanath condemned criticism of the opposition. He expressed condolences to the victims of Stamped and criticized the politicization of his death. Yogi also dismissed the opposition claims about Kumbh, saying that the government has effectively handled its responsibilities.
“When we are participating in the discussion here, more than 56.25 crore devotees have already taken their holy dip in prayer … when we make unfounded allegations or Sanatan Dharma, Maa Ganga, India, or Maha Kumbh Spread fake videos against these 56 million people like playing with confidence, “he said.
“There are seven days left of Maha Kumbh, and according to data, more than 56 crore devotees have taken a holy dip by this afternoon … Our sympathy is with all those who were victims of stampede on January 29 … and Those who lose their lives in road accidents while traveling for Kumbh.
