Tennessee: 17 women in 9 states of America have become seriously ill after taking fake Botox injections, 13 of them have been immediately admitted to the hospital in emergency. One is on ventilator.
A report published by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) provides alarming details of patients getting Botox injections outside of accredited medical facilities and becoming ill.
Four of the 17 women received Botox injections in their faces during a party at a relative's house in Tennessee. An investigation later revealed that the injectable product was counterfeit and administered by an unlicensed person.
Dr. Christine also said that we are seeing a lot of cases of injecting at people's homes who don't even have a license and are putting other people's lives at risk.
