Kangana Ranaut Slap Case: Kulwinder Kaur, the woman CISF officer who slapped Bollywood actress and Himachal Pradesh Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut, has been transferred. According to Indian Express, Kulwinder has been shifted from Chandigarh to Bengaluru. However, the CISF has clarified that he is still under suspension and a departmental inquiry is on against him. Recently, Kulwinder Kaur slapped Kangana at the Chandigarh airport, upset by her past statement regarding the farmers' movement. Kalwinder was subsequently suspended from the job.
After the slapping incident, several farmers' organizations supported Kalwinder. Apart from this, his entire family and villagers also came in support of Kalwinder and protested against his suspension from the job. The police took action against Kolwinder and registered an FIR. While some people in the Bollywood industry condemned the slapping incident while supporting Kangana, many people including singer Vishal Dadlani came in support of Kalwinder. Vishal had said that if a CISF official is removed from his post, he will give him a job.
After the incident, senior CISF officer Vinay Kajala said that Kalwindar had apologised. Speaking to the Tribune, he admitted that there was a security lapse and an investigation has been launched. He also said that Kulwinder is now apologizing. Apart from this, I myself met Kangana Ranaut and apologized to her. Kangana also asked about Kulwinder and his family, who they are and what is the background of the family.
Kangana raised questions on terrorism.
After this incident, Kangana Ranaut also expressed her reaction. He made a video saying that I am getting a lot of phone calls. First of all I am safe. The accident that took place at the Chandigarh airport today took place during security checking. The security staff there came from the side and hit me on the face and started abusing me. When I asked the reason, she told Kisan Tehreek and said she supports it. My concern is how we will deal with the growing terrorism and extremism in Punjab.
