For the first time in history, Argentina Senate has opened its doors to discuss bitcoins, thanks to the efforts Nag Bitcoin ArgentinaThis week the conference was held in the legislative palace of Arturo Ilya Hall, the conference titled “Bitcoin and It’s Regulatory Framework”.
Conducted by NGO Bitcoin Argentina, the program brought major political advisors and heads from various political blocks to find out the potential impact of bitcoin on Argentina’s economy and regulatory landscape. NGO Bitcoin Argentina’s lawyer and legal coordinator Gabrila Batiato led a deep discussion on the global regulator debate going on around the philosophy, development and adoption of bitcoin.
“This is an important step towards legislative recognition of the crypto ecosystem. Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are already part of economic reality, and it is necessary that strategic decision makers have clear and accurate information,” said Ricardo Mihura, president of NGO Bitcoin Argentina.
The conference was performed by Senator Antonio Jose Roads with the participation of Mendoza Senator Mariana Juri, and a growing bilateral interest in understanding and integrating bitcoins within the Argentina’s legal structure. His discussion on bitcoin was focused on the transformative ability of IT and its growing role in global finance.
“This phenomenon sets an example and confirms our goal of bringing knowledge about bitcoin and blockchain in all areas of society. We will continue to promote these places because we believe that only through communication and education we can create appropriate rules and promote the development of the region,” said the executive director of the NGO Bitcoin Argentine.
