Oli Watkins inspired Aston Villa to win a statement on Newcastle in the race to Europe with a goal and aid in a 4–1 victory.
Villa won its fifth consecutive league and two points from the newly ranked nuclear, which ended the six-game winning run, as Watkins claimed for the initial striker spot.
Marcus Rashford was recently liked the front, but Watkins made his first debut in four matches, only a few minutes later proved to be his point by scoring within the first 33 seconds with a defenseed attempt before hitting the shot against the crossbar.
Watkins gave a sharp time to the newcomel defense and especially Fabian Shar, with a yellow card to pull the striker down only with the center-back lucky because he saw to burst via the goal.
Shar then sharply equaled to Newcastle, which was still without head coach Edi Howe as he was cured of pneumonia, hitting the left post, with a close range header before Watkins.
Villa returned the lead just after the hour mark as Watkins weighed an ideal pass for overlapping left-back Ian Matsen to fire at home as a newcastle, fielding the same team for the seventh consecutive match, badly faded.
Unai Emery then brought Jacob Ramsay and Amdou Onana, who both immediately wrapped the match. The low cross of Ramsey by Dan Burn before an attempt in the left corner above Onana had turned into his own net.
