Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday attacked the BJP government over the alleged sale of land to outsiders in Ayodhya. He claimed a land scam worth billions of rupees. Akhilesh Yadav also demanded a thorough probe into these land deals.

'Not increasing the circle rate is an economic conspiracy'

Akhilesh Yadav made the comment while posting a newspaper clipping on social media platform X. “As the land deals in Ayodhya are being exposed, the truth is coming out that people outside Ayodhya bought and sold large scale land for profit during the BJP regime,” he said.

The SP national president said, 'The BJP government's non-increase in the circle rate for the past seven years is an economic conspiracy against the local people. Due to which billions of rupees have been scammed.

'We demand probe into rigging'

Akhilesh Yadav added, 'Here (in Ayodhya) not the believers but the land mafia have bought the land. People living in Ayodhya-Faizabad and surrounding areas have not benefited from all this.

He said, 'Buying land from the poor and farmers at high prices is a form of land grabbing. We demand a thorough investigation and review of the 'rigging' and land deals in Ayodhya in the name of so-called development.
