Pakistan announced Wednesday that it will host a five -match Twenty20 International Series against Bangladesh next month to start the 2026 World Cup preparations.
The Pakistan Cricket Board said it was a change in the original plan of the visit to Bangladesh, which included three one -day internationals and three T20 matches.
“Since the T20 World Cup is next year, the two countries have agreed to play five T20 matches for the mega event,” the PCB said.

The first two matches will be played in Faisalabad on May 25 and 27, while the last three matches will be held in Lahore on May 30, June 1 and June 3.
Faisalabad has not hosted any international cricket match since 2008 when Bangladesh played a 50 -overs series.
India and Sri Lanka will host the T20 World Cup in February and March next year.
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will not be part of the squad in the home series of five T20 matches against Bangladesh.
