Ranger’s head coach Barry Ferguson says he saw ‘Dil and Desire’ on the pitch at Ragby Park as he staged a dramatic return to win 4–2.
Former Ibrox captain, who won 15 trophies as a player, abolished a tornado 48 hours after replacing Philip Clement, as the fans traveling celebrated his name.
Ferguson is now demanding that his players continue the same battle, as he did for the rest of the season after going behind the strike from Right and Brad Leone.
The 47 -year -old told Sky Sports, “I am not going to be very excited. It was good, but there are many things that we need to improve and people know it too.”
“They have been under that investigation, but they have got heart and desire.
“If I don’t think I can get some of them, I do not work. He showed him a different side tonight.
“I’m not going away, this is just a game. They now need to take it on Saturday because they are at home and if it is so after 10 minutes, the crowd begins to bring you to a wee touch.
“They need to learn to deal with these situations. Spending with them the last 24 hours, I think they now realize that situation.”
Starting with the same initial Xi as Clement Clement with a 2–0 necklace to St. Mirine, Ferguson bowed to Clinton Nasiala after a half-hour struggle in Kilmarnock.
“Many times when things are not going to your way during a game, you have to make tough decisions,” said Ferguson.
“The youth of Clinton, he would recover from it, but I felt that at that level we had to make changes and obviously it worked for us.
“We started controlling the game, we probably started resting a wee.
“I felt that we were a little stressful, but their confidence has been very low, so you have to be careful with it.
“I told them that they are playing in a magnificent club, you have expectations and demands on you and you need to handle them, and I felt that they had handled it, the first half of the first half of the half and of course 45, they were excellent.”
What did the pundits say
Sky Sports pundits discussed the introduction of Ferguson in Rangers Dugout:
Former Rangers captain Steven Davis:
“Absolutely fantastic, I think he will be half an hour the first [Ferguson] Be really disappointed, but certainly there was a major response from the team after that.
“They will be fully happy to win. It is not an easy achievement coming from two goals here in Kilmarnock, so he will go home.”
Former Rangers Forward Chris Boyd:
“I think after the first half an hour, you are thinking, ‘Where is it going?” And then suddenly, it is revealed that this is the problem that Rangers have faced all the seasons.
“You got to give credit to the players that Barry Ferguson clearly replacement, brought to Yilmaz, took some players around and then you saw the Rangers clicking and achieved a good goal before half a time.
“The second half, they completely dominated it and I think you may be happy with the performance after 30 minutes, but the same questions are still being asked, the rangers are very weak in the set plays.”
Former Scotland striker James McFaden:
“He has been brought with supporters to re -connect the team and try to raise the entire mood. The way the game actually pulled out could not have been better to get down by two goals.
“As much as he did not want to come down from two goals, these fans have definitely enjoyed it.
“We talked in length how little time it was for Barry Ferguson’s coaching staff to work with the players and then Barry talked about how he wants to play his team, and to win the final objective game from him.”
