Patna: In Bihar, Pashupati Kumar Paras’ party Rashtriya Lok Jan Shakti Party (RLJP) has announced to contest the 2025 assembly elections alone. The party says that they are not getting due respect in the NDA. RLJP spokesperson Chandan Singh said that the party was neither given a place in the 20-point program nor any seat in the by-elections. Pashupati Paras was not even given time to meet Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Chandan Singh made several serious allegations on behalf of the party. He said that Pashupati Paras vacated his official bungalow despite the Election Commission giving RLJP the status of a regional party. The party was not given a single seat in the Lok Sabha elections. Their candidate left the party after seeking a seat in the Terari by-election.

We were not invited to NDA meeting: RLJP

Chandan Singh said, ‘Pashupati Kumar Paras stayed with the NDA loyally and honestly. This is an example. “If there is no place for Pashupati Paras in the NDA, we will not compromise with respect,” he added. When the NDA meeting was held at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s residence before the by-elections, we were not invited.

Party ready to contest elections alone in 2025: Chandan Singh

RLJP spokesperson Chandan Singh said that the party believes that it is ready to contest Bihar elections strongly alone in 2025. The party will contest elections on all 243 seats. In this regard, in the executive meeting to be held on Tuesday, November 19, all the workers will present their views in unison before National President Pashupati Paras.

This decision of RLJP is sure to create panic in NDA. This may increase the difficulties of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his nephew Chirag Paswan. It remains to be seen how the NDA deals with this new political equation in the time to come.
