New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday announced the construction of a Ram temple in West Bengal to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Ayodhya Ram temple. This comes amid controversy over the remarks of a Trinamool Congress MLA in which he had said that the Babri Masjid has not been rebuilt even 30 years after its demolition.

Rejecting allegations of involvement with Bangladeshis, Kabir said border security was the responsibility of the central government, adding that he had not noticed any such issues in the region.
