New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday announced the construction of a Ram temple in West Bengal to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Ayodhya Ram temple. This comes amid controversy over the remarks of a Trinamool Congress MLA in which he had said that the Babri Masjid has not been rebuilt even 30 years after its demolition.
“Ram Mandir should not be built in response to the mosque. Babri Masjid can be built, and Ram Mandir can also be built… The same person who said that Babri Masjid will be built, the same The person once said that Hindus would be massacred and thrown away.” Bhagirathi. He accused Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of instigating communal tension in the state and said: “Mamata Banerjee is behind these comments… She is creating another Bangladesh for her vote bank. Earlier, while commenting on Babri Masjid, TMC MLA Humayun Kabir had described it as a very emotional issue for Muslims.
“Babri Masjid was an emotional issue for Muslims. It was built by Babar, and we all know that in 1992, Babri Masjid was demolished. It’s been 30 years, and Babri Masjid has not been rebuilt yet In 2019, the Supreme Court unanimously ruled, allotting five acres of land for the construction of the mosque, it will be constructed over time.”
“In Bengal, especially in Murshidabad, some people are saying that a new Babri Masjid will be built to instigate people. But there is no problem in it. There is no problem. Regarding the land of Babri Masjid, if asked As to where the land will be purchased, let me clarify that we have not approached the state government for any land for Babri Masjid, we have no intention of taking any government land or grant.”
Rejecting allegations of involvement with Bangladeshis, Kabir said border security was the responsibility of the central government, adding that he had not noticed any such issues in the region.
