In the assembly elections of Jammu and Kashmir, BJP’s focus is only on the Jammu region. It is considered a BJP stronghold. BJP does not have much presence in the valley, so instead of fielding its candidates in all the seats there, the party may give unannounced support to independent and local candidates in some seats.

It also played a bet for the politics of polarization.
BJP has made several announcements in its manifesto to woo the people of the state. The party has also gambled on keeping Jammu ahead and politics of polarization. Senior party leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah kicked off the campaign on Saturday with a major workers’ conference. In this conference, Shah asserted that the voters of Jammu will decide the next government of Jammu and Kashmir.

Given the changes that have taken place in the Valley in the last 10 years and the announcements made by the BJP for women, the Congress and National Conference alliance may also face difficulties. PDP is contesting elections separately. Apart from this, many influential leaders at the local level are contesting elections as independents or with their own small parties.

Jammu and Kashmir elections are very difficult this time.
BJP strategists believe that the elections in Jammu and Kashmir are very difficult this time, because the people of Jammu and Kashmir have to worry. Instead, the opposition camp is busy inciting them.

Emphasis on bringing people together
The BJP hopes that the same enthusiasm shown by the people of the state in the Lok Sabha elections, a similar scene will be witnessed in this Assembly elections. The BJP has been very careful in distributing tickets, although there have been protests at several places. Now the focus is on bringing the people to their side. The party is fully engaged in pulling Gurjar Bakarwal and the Dalit community along with it.
