Amanda Anisimova followed up her shock win over Aryna Sabalenka by beating Emma Navarro to reach her first WTA 1000 final in Toronto on Sunday.

Anisimova, seeded 132nd, reached the National Bank Open final with a 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 win over eighth seed Navarro.

The 22-year-old former French Open semi-finalist and 2022 Wimbledon quarter-finalist has now beaten four top-20 players in a row after victories over Sabalenka, Anna Kalinskaya and Daria Kasatkina.
