Faisalabad: Markhors won the third match in a row in the Champions ODI Cup.
Mohammad Rizwan’s Markhors defeated Saud Shakeel’s Dolphins by 92 runs in the sixth match of the tournament played at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.
In the match, Dolphins won the toss and decided to field. Markhors scored 284 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 50 overs and set the Dolphins a target of 285 runs to win.
Chasing the target, the entire Dolphins team managed to score 192 runs in 43.5 overs. On behalf of Dolphins, Asif Ali scored a half century and captain Saud Shakeel stood out by scoring 41 runs.
Earlier, Kamran Ghulam scored 113 runs and captain Muhammad Rizwan scored 51 runs from Markhors.
Faheem Ashraf of Dolphins dismissed 4 players while Muhammad Imran and Salman Agha took 3 and 3 wickets respectively from Markhors.
It should be noted that this is Markhors’ third consecutive victory in the current tournament, while Dolphins have faced defeat in both their matches.
