PCC Chief Govind Singh Dutasara said that Rajasthan’s interests are secured in the agreement.

Jaipur. Congress is now angry over Bhajanlal government’s ‘Yamuna water deal’ after issues of new districts and English medium schools in Rajasthan. Regarding this, Rajasthan PCC chief Govind Singh Dutasara has attacked the BJP government and called it a ‘cheat’ to the people of Rajasthan. Duttasara said that the BJP government has cheated the people of Rajasthan over the Yamuna Water Treaty. The BJP government, which made Haryana its master by pledging the interests of Rajasthan in the MoU, wants to return some applause by misleading the people of Shekhawati.

Duttasara added that the truth is that the MoU signed between Rajasthan and Haryana on February 17, 2024 for a fresh DPR is a violation of the terms of the original 1994 agreement and a surrender to Rajasthan’s interests. is equivalent to According to the new agreement, Haryana will first get 24,000 cusecs of water. After that, if any water is saved or surplus water comes during the rainy season, it will be given to Rajasthan. This has been confirmed by the Chief Minister of Haryana himself after a meeting held in Delhi on January 7.

Rajasthan’s interests have been ceded in the agreement.
Duttasara alleged that Rajasthan’s interests were subservient to the deal. The biggest failure is that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma surrendered to the wishes of Haryana. The Central Water Commission controls the distribution of water. But despite this, Haryana has decided to have 24000 cusecs of water as it wants. While earlier Haryana claimed only 13000 cusecs and later 18000 cusecs of water.

The Chief Minister signed the agreement without thinking.
The PCC chief said that despite playing with the interests of Rajasthan, CM Bhajanlal has signed the agreement without thinking, this agreement is completely playing with the interests of Rajasthan in front of Haryana. Due to political fear, even after 11 months, the BJP government has neither made the MoU public nor presented the progress report to the public. The government had to prepare a new DPR by June 17, 2024. Our Congress government prepared a Rs 31,000 crore DPR to provide Yamuna water to the people of Shekhawati and sent it to the Central Water Commission as per the original agreement, but then the Modi government at the Center refused to go ahead with the project. Not given.

In the new deal, Haryana will pursue its own interests first.
He said that according to the original agreement of 1994, the three districts of Rajasthan were to get 1.19 billion cubic meters of water. With this, according to the original agreement, all the states were to get water on a pro rata basis i.e. in proportion to the availability of water. In contrast, in the state’s BJP government’s new deal, Haryana will fulfill its interests first and then give surplus water to Rajasthan. This is a complete fraud on the people of Rajasthan.
