Dundee: Oman defeated Namibia by 4 wickets in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2.

In the 17th match of Cricket World Cup League 2 played in Dundee, Oman achieved the target of 197 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the last over.

Captain Aqib Ilyas scored 63 runs for Oman. Khalid Kyle 43, Prateek Athwale 18 and Zeeshan Maqsood 15 were dismissed. Kushap Prajapati and Ayan Khan returned to the pavilion without scoring a run.

Shoaib Khan remained not out with 26 runs and Fayyaz Butt scored 8 runs.

On behalf of Namibia, Jack Brassell took 2 wickets, Tanjani Lingamini and Ben Shikungo took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, batting first at the invitation of Oman, Namibia scored 196 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

Milan Kruger was dismissed for 73 runs from Namibia. JJ Smit 41, Michael van Lingen 40, Jean Frielnick 12, skipper Gerhard Erasmus 8, JP Kotze 5, Lou-Handre Lawrence 4, Bernard Schultz 3 and Jack Bressel 1 were all out.

Tanjani Lingamini returned to the pavilion not out scoring 1 run.

On behalf of Oman, Bilal Khan took 3, Fayyaz Butt 2, while Kaleemullah, Jay Odedra and Shoaib Khan took 1 and 1 wicket respectively.
