Along with the north, the eastern parts of the country are also in the grip of severe cold. Forget Kashmir, Shimla and Nainital. Friday was a very difficult day for the people of Delhi NCR. In the morning it was difficult to see because of heavy fog. Vehicles were forced to crawl on the roads. Planes and trains were even worse. The system of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport), the country’s busiest airport, was completely disrupted. A curfew-like situation arose due to severe cold and fog. Visibility limit at IGI Airport reduced to zero. Due to which not one but 507 flights were affected. On the other hand, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Saturday, January 4, 2025.
On Friday, January 3, 2025, the cold showed its true form. Visibility was badly affected due to fog. Due to which the situation at IGI Airport was very bad. Flight operations were adversely affected due to reduced visibility. According to information, 507 flights have been affected due to dense fog. In addition, 15 flights had to be canceled due to bad weather. A terrible situation arose at IGI Airport. A large number of passengers were inconvenienced. People had to wait for a long time due to delayed flights.

Some areas of Delhi have zero visibility.
Dense fog has reduced visibility to zero in some areas of national capital Delhi. This has had a major impact on transport. Air and road as well as train operations have also been affected. According to information available on air traffic tracking website flightradar24.com, hundreds of flights were affected at IGI Airport. Low visibility remains at Delhi Airport. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has issued an important advisory to passengers. DIAL requested passengers to contact the concerned airlines for updated flight information. We inform you that around 1300 flights take off and land from Indira Gandhi International Airport every day. On the other hand, IMD has released the latest update about the weather of Delhi NCR. Meteorologists said that on January 4, 2024, dense fog will prevail in different parts of Delhi. Conditions will be especially bad in the morning.
