The Milwaukee Brewers acquired Nick Mayers from the Colorado Rockies on Saturday in exchange for fellow right-handers Bradley Blalock and Eugene Herrera.
Mayers, 27, went 1-4 with a 5.56 ERA in 41 relief appearances for Colorado this season. He is in his fifth Major League season, having appeared in 93 games out of the bullpen for the Pittsburgh Pirates (2020-22) and Rockies (2023-24).
In those outings, Meyers is 2-5 with a 4.93 ERA.
Blalock, 23, was Milwaukee’s No. 17 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. He made his Major League debut with the Brewers on June 20, pitching a scoreless inning in his only appearance.
This year Blaylock went 5-2 with a 4.08 ERA in 16 games at Double-A Biloxi.
Herrera, 20, spent time with Low Class-A Carolina and High Class-A Wisconsin this season, compiling a 9-1 record with a 2.91 ERA in 16 appearances (nine starts). He has yet to appear in the majors.
