Jerry Jones, owner of Dallas Cowboy, said on Tuesday that he felt that a long -term deal with Star Pass Rashar Micah Parsons is not far from becoming a reality.
Jones said that Parsons called him to establish a meeting, and both spoke for “five or six hours” to work in a long -term detail.
At the NFL’s annual league meeting, Jones said, “Most of the issues we are on. We discussed all this.” “But we do not clearly make a compromise relative to the new contract.”
Currently, Parsons are in line to earn around $ 24 million in the fifth year of their crook contracts. Dalas Morning News reported at the end of the last week that Parsons were demanding a record-setting $ 200 million contract extension that would make him the most paid non-coordorbacks in NFL.
Regarding the talks, Jones said that he is directly discussing the contract with Parsons – not his agent David Mulughetta.

Except Mulugheta, Jones does not see it as a big thing.

However, Parsons on Tuesday asked on social media to say that there would be no deal without his agent.
“Facts !! David is best and I am not making any deal without David Mulughetta!” Parsons wrote. “Just like someone with good understanding, I have hired experts for a reason. I have no confidence in talking about interacting on contracts compared to David! There will be no backdoor in this contract dialogue.”
In addition, on Tuesday, Cowboy coach Brian Shotenhaimer said that he hopes that Parsons would participate in the team’s voluntary offsen workout despite the ongoing contract negotiations.
The workout begins on Monday.
“Hey, look, at the end of the day it’s a business and when you are working with the money that is being thrown around, not only with Micah, but with the players with big names, the conversation sometimes takes time,” the first year coach said according to the ESPN. “I feel very comfortable. Micah said that he is going to be around. I think he wants to be. I think we are all very comfortable with it.”
Parsons have a chance to fill that void, with a long -standing defensive leader Demarkus Lawrence’s departure.
“Micah encouraged the opportunity to move in the role of leadership,” Shotenhaimer said. “There is no reason that he should not do. The best teams I have ever been around, their best players are their best leaders, and therefore, I think the more you are around, the more you have a chance to impress people, and not only the people who are coming back, but a bunch of new faces. We are going to add some people.”
The 25 -year -old Parsons recorded 12 sacks, 43 tackles and two forced communities in 13 sports (all start) last season.
In each of its first four sessions in the league, a Pro Bowl Selection, Parsons made a total of 256 tackles (63 for losses), 112 quarterbacks, 52.5 sacks, nine forced people and four fumbers in 63 career games (all starts).
