Naz Reid obtained 27 points, 13 rebounds and seven assistance, and Minnesota Timberwells pulled away the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night for a 116–101 victory.
Anthony Edwards added 23 points, eight rebounds and seven support for Minnesota, who snatched the two-game skids. Jaden McDineeles scored 21 points on 9 -for -18 shooting.
Shai Gilgeous-Aexander scored 24 points, grabbed eight rebounds and received nine assistance to lead Oklahoma City, who lost for only 10th time in 54 matches this season. Jalan Williams scored 20 points, and Chet Holmagren and Isaiah Heartenstein tied double-dabbles. Earlier there were 11 points and 10 rebounds, while the latter put 10 and 12 respectively.
Minnesota shot a total of 42.4 percent and 26.1 percent (12 out of 46) from the 3-point range. Oklahoma City shot 42 percent from the ground and 24 to 24.1 percent (7 out of 29).
Timberwells were played without Rudy Gobert, which were late for the report of injury due to back cramps. Team’s partner Mike Conlay (Finger), Julius Randle (Grin) and Donate Divinkezo (toe) were sidelined in the final game before the all-star break.
Minnesota removed the game at the beginning of 10–0 in the fourth quarter. Backup Big Man Luka Garza made a tip shot to finish the run and placed Timberwells with eight minutes remaining at the top 107-89.
Minnesota led 97–87 at the end of the third quarter.
Andrew Vignins made a 3-paper to pull Oklahoma City within 84-80 with the remaining 4:39 in the third.
Minnesota replied with 8–0 runs to pull forward 92-80 with the remaining 2:48 in the third quarter. McDaniels turned to Rim for a floating jump shot and Nikkil Alexander-Wocker and Edwards knocked on 3-pointers during the run.
Timberwells led 64–56 at half.
The Gilgus-Alexander cut the 3-pointer in 43.1 seconds to cut the thunder deficit by 62–56, which was half the remaining.
Terence Shannon Junior extended the lead of Timbervols by eight points with a jumping shot on Bajer.
Timberwells Stopping Guard Jelene Clarke started his first career. The second round pick from UCLA ended in 24 minutes with four points, three rebounds and one assistance.
