Texas ranked Michael Terry III as the No. 1 athlete in the 2025 class on National Signing Day on Wednesday.
Terry signed his official documents at a ceremony at his high school. In Alamo Heights, San Antonio. He kept his decision secret until then and chose the home-state Longhorns over finalists Oregon and Nebraska.
He can pose a threat at multiple positions for the Longhorns. He excels at running back and wide receiver and has also played on defensive snaps.
According to 247Sports, Terry had over 1,800 rushing yards, 1,300 receiving yards and 54 total touchdowns in his senior season.
As of Wednesday morning, Texas was competing with Georgia and Ohio State for the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.
Safety Jonah Williams and wide receiver Kalik Lockett also signed for the Longhorns on Wednesday.
The 247Sports Composite lists Williams as the No. 1 player at his position – eighth in the country – and Lockett as the No. 4 wide receiver.
