Los Angeles Rams starting left tackle Alaric Jackson was given a two-game suspension without pay on Friday for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, the team announced.
Jackson will miss the Rams’ season opener against the Detroit Lions and the team’s Week 2 game against the Arizona Cardinals. He could return on Sept. 22 when Los Angeles hosts the San Francisco 49ers.
The Rams did not provide further details about Jackson’s suspension.
Jackson, 26, played 15 games at left tackle for Los Angeles last year in his third NFL season.
Jackson is expected to be replaced by Joe Noteboom. Noteboom, 29, lost his starting job to Jackson in 2022 after signing a three-year, $40 million deal with the Rams.
