Washington Wizards have tolerated a long season, but are fresh from one of their most pleasant moments.
Vizards will follow a surprising win over Denver Nugets with another solid performance when visiting Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night.
Washington (15–51) completed a surprising season sweep of the Nuggets with a win of 126–123 on Saturday. Jordan Polay swallowed 35-foot, 3-pointer to break the tie with 1.8 seconds and swallow Vizards in the last 10 matches to give his sixth win.
Poole may immediately understand that victory was an inexperienced group that has struggled in most of the season.
“Being a young team, I think it’s really good for us,” Pole said later. “It was big for us, and I think a lot of our players grew up (Saturday night), and there are things that not only set us for the next game or the next week or the end of this season.
“But it sets for the next year, trying to score playoff runs, need to win big games … and it’s good for our people to see now.”

Portland (29–39) had a joyful time on Sunday as it snapped the five-game losing streak by defeating Toronto Repater 105–102.
Trail Blazers have not given up even on the Western Conference Play-in Race, even if they stand 3 1/2 games from the last place to play 14 games.
When the Portland was increasing the deficit, Sacramento Kings have dropped their last four matches in ninth place and Dallas Mavex lost three directly. Phoenix is in the 11th position, two games ahead of Portland.
“We are still looking at the standing,” said the trail blazers guard Annapreen Simmons. “We know this is a difficult road ahead. We hope (other teams) have lost, we have to win. So just focus on it.”
Simmons scored 16 runs in Portland, a competition in the second quarter in the fourth quarter against Toronto in the fourth quarter.
The Taumani camera scored 21 points and matched five 3-pointers of his career. Simmons made six traces.
The coach of the Trail Blazers Chaunsi Billup said that he liked how his team stretched. In Portland’s previous game on Wednesday, a 3-pointer won the 114–113 overtime by a 3-pointer by Mikal Brides in Bajer.
Billup said, “The thing that was standing in front of me was the development that we showed at the end of the game.” “… I felt that it was amazing to be so quickly at that place and can see ‘Can we learn?’ And then we did it.
Mattis Thybul (ankle) started its season for trail blazers, and the stellar defender had two rebounds, two theft and a block shot in six minutes.
Portland won the 129–121 road over Washington on 26 February. Shadon Sharp scored the best 36 marks of career for trail blazers. Pule had 24 points for the Vizards.
