Azi Fadd scored 27 points on 10-for-13 shooting, and the number 2 seed connecticut won 103-34 over the number 15 Seed Arkansus state in the first round of the Women’s NCAA tournament on Saturday afternoon in Stores, Con.

Sarah Strong and Ashlin Shed added 20 points to the Connecticut (32–3). Paige Bueckers finished with 11 points on 5 -for -9 shooting.

Chrislin Rose had seven points to lead Arkansas State (21–11). Winter Rogers scored six runs.

Connecticut reached 34–5 lead at the end of the first quarter. By Haftime, Hakis extended its profit to 66–16.

Hakis shot a total of 58.8 percent (40 out of 68) and 46.4 percent beyond the arc (13 out of 28). Arkansas State shot 17.1 percent (12 out of 70) and 15 percent (6 out of 40) from the 3-point range from the region.

Iowa ended with 28 assistance on 41 baskets. Murray State had seven assistants on 19 baskets.
