Federal Energy Minister Owais Leghari said on Wednesday that the government has formulated an important policy to attract citizens towards electric vehicles, under which the electricity tariff at electric charging stations has been reduced by 45%.

He added: ‘In a meeting today, the Prime Minister decided to reduce the tariff of 71 rupees 10 paise per unit charged by electricity distribution companies to 39 rupees 70 paise per unit. go With this move, owners of electric motorcycles and small vehicles will have easier access to charging stations.

The Energy Minister also said that the process of setting up charging stations will be simplified and approval for setting up any such station will be given within 15 days through the e-portal, which will set up a charging station in every neighborhood while less This business can be started by investing as little as 18 to 20 lakh rupees and as much as one and a half crore.
