The Maha Kumbh Mela has started today in Prayagraj, UP. About 20 quintals of rose petals are to be showered on every bathing festival.
Helicopter rides are organized to attract tourists during the Mahakumba. Its fare has been reduced from Rs 3,000 to just Rs 1,296 per person. Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Javir Singh gave this information in an official statement. Starting today, this 7-8 minute helicopter ride will allow tourists to get an aerial view of the grandeur of the Mahakamba Mela from above the city of Prayagraj.

On January 16, famous singer Shankar Mahadevan will perform at Ganga Pandal. Also, famous singer Mohit Chauhan will perform at the end of the festival on February 24. This step of the tourism department is an attempt to further increase the popularity of Kumbh Mela among tourists.
