Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batting coach Dinesh Karthik hosted the entire team at his residence in Chennai before his IPL 2025 clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Both teams meet at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday 28 March.

The entire RCB team was seen at the former cricketer’s residence on Thursday. Players with assistant employees were seen having careless clothes, enjoying and having fun with food and drinks decorated with lights.

Dinesh Karthik posted a video of the same on his official Instagram account with the caption –

“Welcome to my Enbuden.”

RCB launched its IPL 2025 campaign on a successful note with a seven -wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens. For Dinesh Karthik, he first played for a franchise in 2015 before returning to three seasons in 2022. When retiring after the 2024 season, he continues to live with the team as a batting coach.

Can RCB break its Chennai zinc this time?

While RCB started with a win, they will face a tough exam against five -time champions CSK in Chennai. Visitors do not have a great record in Chennai in IPL.

Of the nine matches played between two teams in Chennai, RCB has succeeded in winning just one by losing eight times. In addition, his only win against CSK at the venue came in 2008.

Therefore, it has been almost 17 years since RCB won the IPL match against CSK in Chennai. Overall, out of the 33 matches played between the two teams, CSK leads with 21 wins, compared to 11 wins by Bangalore -based franchise.
