Drake Shares Video of Mansion Flooding, Hopes It’s Espresso Martini Trending Global News

FlyIt looked like his home had flooded due to the torrential rain – but he didn't let that dampen his sense of humour.

The 37-year-old Canadian rapper shared a video Instagram Stories On Tuesday, July 16, a video surfaced showing his luxurious mansion in Toronto, called “The Embassy”, submerged in floodwaters.

“This better be an espresso martini,” Drake captioned the video, which showed a stream of dark brown water flowing into a dressing room and out of other doors in the house.

Drake was seen holding a broom in his hand while making the video, so that he could clean up as much water as he could, but the water seemed to be getting out of control. Drake's feet were not visible in the clip, which suggests that the water had risen above his ankle.

In the video, the “Hotline Bling” hitmaker was accompanied by a friend who attempted to hold two doors shut as water escaped his grasp and spilled all over the floor.

According to the outlet, Environment Canada Toronto recorded nearly 100 mm of rain, surpassing the city's daily record, which was set in 1941, according to the report.

The lavish residence made headlines just two months ago when an early-morning shootout broke out near the home, injuring one of Drake's security guards.
