In a bizarre incident that took place in India, a bride stole jewelry and cash during a wedding ceremony on the pretext of going to the bathroom.
The drama unfolded at a Shiv temple in Bharvia in Uttar Pradesh where 40-year-old Kamlesh Kumar was getting married for the second time after the death of his first wife.
Kamlesh, a farmer of Govindpur village in Sitapur, contacted the media after the incident, while the police said that no complaint has been registered in the matter yet.
The allegations state that the bride had come to the temple with her mother and similarly Kamlesh was also present with his family.
Kamlesh said that he had given sarees, beauty products and jewelery to the woman while he was also bearing all the wedding expenses.
However, as soon as the rituals began, the bride apologized for going to the toilet and never returned, Kamlesh told reporters, adding that the bride’s mother also ran away with her.
