The Edmonton Elks reached an agreement on a two-year contract extension for running back Javon Leake on Monday.
The deal will take the League through the end of the 2026 CFL season.
Leak was signed by the Elks in February of this year as the team’s primary kick and punt returner.

Leakes spent a lot of time on offense rushing for 661 yards and six touchdowns. Leak added 301 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Leak recorded a season-high 169 rushing yards and three touchdowns in the Week 9 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Leakes was clocked at 35.8 km/h on his 51 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter of that game, the fastest speed recorded in the CFL or NFL since 2020.
