We have reached a level where even Karnataka, one of the most advanced states of our country, recognizes our achievements.
The exchange came after Kharge’s criticism against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders including the Assam CM. Addressing Himanta, Kharge questioned the fairness of the project allocation, saying, “CM @HimantaBiswa, PM @NarendraModi and you protecting the interests of your respective state is considered a ‘masterstroke’ and if I protect the interests of Karnataka If I protect, then it is considered anti-Assam?” He further said, “Joker of @BJP4Karnataka, do you agree on this? Hope Shri @BYVijayendra shares his invaluable insight on this. CM Sarma sir, why do you ask your PM to be generous in giving Assam 2 Don’t say.” “Companies turning away 2 semiconductor projects in Karnataka and 1 in Gujarat?”
In his response, Sarma pointed out that Assam has seen significant improvement in recent years. He wrote, “Assam Congress leaders should understand that Assam is now in a position to negotiate with major companies and force them to invest here. Assam, once known for militancy, is now on the verge of becoming the epicenter of the semiconductor revolution.”
Earlier on July 16, the Assam government had handed over land to Tata Group in Morigaon for setting up a semiconductor plant. 517.27 bighas of land was leased to the Tata Group for 60 years, marking a significant step forward for the project.
