Sandy Garossino — a Canadian newspaper columnist and the mother of the 36-year-old “Oblivion” singer (real name Claire Boucher) — contacted Musk, 36, through a social media platform owned by the billionaire. Post to XGarossino urged Musk to allow Grimes’ three children to travel to Canada to visit their ailing great-grandmother.
“I am writing here because this is the only way I can reach you,” Garossino wrote on Saturday, July 27. “As you know, my 93-year-old mother is now in the final stages of her life. She would like to see and hug Claire’s children one last time. Especially the youngest one, whom she has not yet met.”
“You had to see something even more disturbing [son X Æ A-Xii] “After your televised appearance at the Paris Olympics yesterday, and your visit to D.C. earlier in the week,” Garossino continued, “where are the other children, and with whom? They are scheduled to stay with their mother…. I am writing with a grandmother’s plea, asking you to honor your agreement, return the children, and provide them with the necessary documentation to see their great-grandmother.”
