Addressing the media at the state police headquarters in Patna, ADG (headquarters) Jitendra Singh Gangwar said that immediate action has been taken and two persons have been detained in connection with the gruesome murder of Jitan Sahni. The ADG said that the arrest was made on the basis of CCTV footage and human intelligence. Both the arrested persons are being interrogated.

65-year-old Jitan Sahni was the father of former Bihar minister and VIP chief Mukesh Sahni. Jeetan has two sons and a daughter. Among them, his younger son Santosh is unmarried.
