In Muzaffarabad, firing on the convoy of Speaker of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar in which two people were injured, however Chaudhry Latif himself was unharmed.
According to sources, Chaudhry Latif Akbar was going to a political meeting in Khawra, a suburb of his constituency capital Muzaffarabad, when his convoy was fired upon on the way, injuring two people.
Chaudhry Latif Akbar told on telephone that firing was done on my convoy, he was going to participate in the joining program where firing was done.
The Speaker of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly told Express News that three days ago, opponents were issuing threats on social media, which were brought to the attention of the administration and police, but no action was taken. Two people have been injured in the firing and have been shifted to the hospital.
After the incident of firing on the convoy of Speaker Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar, the situation became tense, the exchange of fire between the police and the Muslim Conference workers who went to control the situation continues.
AC Rural Hammad Bashir says that the administration is taking steps to control the situation, there are a few people who fired and pelted stones on the convoy of Speaker Assembly earlier.
According to AC Rural, a PPP worker has been injured by a bullet and a stone, action is being taken to arrest the shooters, the attackers have now started firing on the police, currently there is no casualty.
