Rawalpindi:
The accused who supplied the free medicines of the government hospital from the warehouse to the stores was arrested.
Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir along with concerned officials raided a warehouse near Sohawa, from where the stolen medicines were recovered. These various medicines stolen from the government hospital were to be distributed free of cost to the poor patients.
According to sources, the accused used to supply free medicines received by the Punjab government to medical stores with the alleged connivance of doctors and staff of government hospitals. The value of the drugs recovered from the accused is more than 30 lakh rupees.
Provincial Health Minister Amaran Nazir has instructed the police to take legal action against the arrested accused and other staff including doctors involved. He said that the group selling medicines to patients will be brought to justice.
