MP News: A sudden fire broke out at Kamalaraja Hospital in Jarroga Hospital group in Gwalior last night. The incident took place around 1pm in the Labor Room Diseases ICU, where the air conditioner was blown up due to a short circuit. After that, the fire spread after seeing it. During this period, a total of 22 patients were admitted to the ICU and nearby wards, while there were about 100 patients in the labor room and 50 in the ward of 50 children.

After the fire, there was a smoke in the hospital, which caused panic between the patients and their families. Due to the urgent need of the hospital administration and medical staff, all patients were safely evacuated.

With fire safety training, the hospital guard and ward boys immediately shifted the patients to the Safe Super Specialty Hospital. When the situation worsened, ventilation was arranged by breaking the wall of the ward windows. As soon as the information was received, the fire department team arrived on the spot and after hard work, the fire was extinguished.

Upon receiving information of the incident, collector Rochaika Chauhan, SDM Vinod Singh, hospital superintendent Dr. Saxena and other administrative officials arrived on the spot. In view of the seriousness of the incident, the collector has ordered an inquiry into it. All patients entering the labor unit and nearby wards have been shifted to the Super Specialty Hospital with the help of ambulances. A team of doctors and medical students took rapid action and took the patients to safer places.

Initial investigations revealed that the fire was caused by a short circuit. However, the hospital administration is now trying to find out where security arrangements have declined and what steps should be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. Currently, the situation is normal at the hospital, but the incident has once again raised questions about security arrangements in hospitals.
