New Delhi. Now the real upheaval has started in Delhi politics. Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was beating the drum of ‘Gangster Raj’ in the capital for the past few days. Kejriwal was constantly attacking the central government by raising the issue of law and order in Delhi. PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are being arraigned in Delhi regarding law and order. On Saturday evening, the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police arrested Aam Aadmi Party MLA Naresh Balyan for alleged nexus with a gangster. However, the Aam Aadmi Party has termed the MLA’s arrest as wrong. AAP says the audio clip of the phone call in which Naresh Balyan was arrested was already declared fake by the Delhi High Court.
After Arvind Kejriwal continuously raised questions about law and order in Delhi, the Delhi Police has also come into action. It seems that for every action Newton’s third law has an equal opposite reaction in Delhi. For the past few days, especially after the tone in which Kejriwal was seen attacking Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Assembly on Saturday, it seemed that something big was about to happen in Delhi. Kejriwal was constantly attacking the central government by talking about gangster rule in Delhi. See, not even 24 hours had passed that the ‘reaction’ of the Delhi Police came.
What will Kejriwal do now?
After the arrest of AAP MLA Naresh Balyan, Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal seems to be stuck in his own rhetoric. However, Aam Aadmi Party leaders have also started attacking Balyan’s arrest. It is possible that Arvind Kejriwal will hold a press conference on this issue and clarify his position on Sunday. Because from the statement of Aam Aadmi Party leaders, it seems that Balyan got relief from the Delhi High Court. In such a case, was the Delhi Police not aware of this or was there some other evidence against Balyan? Delhi Police will answer it in court. But, now the real battle has started between Aam Aadmi Party and BJP in Delhi.
Is Naresh Balyan wrong or right?
Naresh Balyan being said to be just the beginning, many more faces of the Aam Aadmi Party have come under the radar of the Delhi Police. Let me tell you that Naresh Balyan was arrested on Saturday by the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police after a lengthy interrogation. The crime branch has arrested Balyan in connection with a phone call with gangster Kapil Sangwan. Kapil Sangwan aka Nandu is a notorious gangster and currently based in England. While Naresh Balyan is a resident of Delhi’s Najafgarh.
Has the real game started in Delhi now?
AAP MP Sanjay Singh has hit out at BJP over Naresh Balyan’s arrest. He said on social media platform X, ‘Today Naresh Balyan was arrested. Naresh Balyan himself received a threat in July 2023. He has made many complaints in July 23. Then in August 2023, a TV channel ran a fake video. Despite the High Court ban on the audio, the BJP released the audio to the media today. Instead of providing security, he was arrested on baseless charges.
Even before his speech in the Assembly on Saturday, Arvind Kejriwal had launched a scathing attack on Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the occasion of the party’s foundation day on November 26. Even after a former marshal threw water on Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi’s Greater Kailash on Saturday, AAP leaders were questioning the law and order situation in Delhi. In such a situation, after the arrest of Naresh Balyan, this matter may gain momentum.
